I validate your anger. Your knowledge of narcissism is woefully inadequate.
Narcissists manifest two characteristic traits. The first is that they are parasitic. In order to fill their own depleted selves they consume the resources of a host until the host is depleted. Once the host is depleted the host is discarded and replaced by another. The second trait is that they refuse to be accountable for their actions.
For my own personal growth I am interested in reading a post wherein you describe how your own narcissism affects you, and how deal with it or have dealt with it. For example, I have challenged your knowledge of narcissism. If you are a narcissist you will delete this post and possibly ban me from writing more comments. If you aren't then I'd like to know how you deal with your narcissistic tendencies.
I was long gone off this page when something hit me so I had to repost. You advise that no contact with a narcissistic family is the best way to free yourself from the narcissism. I'm ok with that, but let's say you downloaded the letter from the internet, are you going no contact with your family because some cybermom is shitting on her cyberdaughter? The other choice is that the letter is from your mom to your sister, which means you are not following your own advice. Stick to your guns. You can do it.
Maybe Nasty Cybermom loves Ungrateful Cyberchild and Poison Pen has not only taken the comments out of context but also given them a malicious reading. Maybe he's a narcissist himself and thinks it's all about him. Maybe Nasty Cybermom, Golden Child, and Scapegoat Cyberchild will live happily ever after once the Trolls have eaten him.
